Well done for finding the right hobby that keeps you engaged, I too have abandoned creative endeavours until I found the one that fills me with joy. Your stitching is a delight it must give you so much pleasure when you look back on the morning you created a little block, or what was happening while you stitched another. All these things connect us to our lives, how lovely that you share it with the world.
Quick question. What is the overall size of your fabric for the daily stitching? I checked out her grids and are a bit pricey for me so inam going to draw my own.
Celia, mine is about ten inches wide, which is wide enough for seven blocks across. I believe it will end up being about eight feet long. You can do it in whatever shape and size you like.
I'm already thinking about next year's journal, which I will make in such a way that I can frame it on the wall. So, it will be much wider--like wide enough for three months across
and four months down. Yes, it will still be pretty big, but I'd love to be able to stand in front of it and look at each day. ✌🏽❤️
Yes, roughly. None are smaller than that ‘tho some are much larger. I do not always draw the designs first, but for some of the more complicated ones, I do. I use a heat-erasable pen.
I like the idea of hand crafts. What would it include? How would part machine then hand eork.be viewed? No matter. I think.it is great idea.
I have been following your daily work. It seems like fun to let your mind wander in the design. I am tempted to try it as i have begun embroidery again. Will look up graph instructions.

Thanks. It does fill me with joy. I'm also loving sharing that joy with others. 😊
I love this sooooo much. It’s beautiful. And inspiring!
Thank you. 😊

Thank you. So each block is 1.5 inches square (orn average)?
I was trying with the idea of a spiral. I assume you workdays draw the design out first.
I love the idea if a years worth. That workday be quite an accomplishment.

I don't know what all the new category would include, but the qualifier would be that the craft is done by hand.
I hope you do try embroidery again. It's so rewarding. ✌🏽
